Limestone from Borghamn
Borghamn limestone was formed approximately 485 million years ago, making it twice as old as most other limestone varieties.
Due to its significant age, Borghamn limestone is denser and harder than limestone and marble found in other parts of the world. It is also known for its consistently high quality, making it an excellent material for various applications, such as floors, stairs, wall coverings, window sills, and restoration work, among others.
Borghamn limestone is available in two colors: light gray and gray-brown. The stone’s color is determined by the depth of the quarry from which it was extracted, as limestone is a layered material.
